I wanted to share some
personal experiences that occurred on the
day of my dad's first
anniversary back Home. He dropped his body
on May 15, 2007 and was a busy guy on his
spiritual birthday two weeks ago.
My mom awakened,
thinking she heard him talking to her. She
said hello and expressed her love and that
she missed him. As she closed her
eyes, she felt the sheets being pulled up
higher around her body and being tucked in.
That same experience happened to dad during
his near-death experience in 2001 which
makes it especially
meaningful.
My niece was preparing
for work and thinking that her grandpa (my
dad) had crossed over exactly one year ago.
She was standing about ten feet from the
bed. Suddenly, a pillow flew off the bed so
forcefully that it knocked a large floor fan
over that was five feet away. No other
people or pets were in the room. The
windows were closed so there was no
explanation for this event.
She has had numerous
spirit visits from dad and just said, "Hi
grandpa!"
My experience was a bit
complex but personally very impressive. On
Tuesday May 13th, I told my partner that I
needed an old spiral-bound copy of "Soul
Proof" because it contained more research
and quotes than the paperback version. I
had sold all of the old copies and lost the
computer files so I didn't have a record of
the other information.
I also told her that we
were getting so many after-death contact
(ADC) reports in response to our request for
evidence for our documentary. "Maybe we
should consider a second documentary that
just focuses on ADCs", I told her.
On May 15th, the exact
anniversary of dad's passing, a stranger
brought an old spiral-bound copy of "Soul
Proof" to my office. "It was lying
open in the road and cars were running over
it", he said. "I recognized Dr. Pitstick's
name and thought
he might want it." The
book had tire tracks on several pages but
was otherwise in fine condition.
Not exactly what an
author wants to see has happened to one of
his books, but I did ask Universe for a
copy.
The next day, I was
working on some projects when--out of the
blue--I thought of dad and received the
thought that I should check which pages had
tire tracks on them. Maybe, the
transmission relayed, that
information would be useful to me somehow.
I thumbed through the
pages and found only four pages that had
tire tracks: the first two and the last two
pages of the ADC
chapter!
A skeptic could
rightfully say that it was just a series of
coincidences to which I attached meaning.
Taken altogether, however, the events
seemed to be dad saying "Yes, you should
focus more on ADCs and here's another one
for you."
I share these personal
experiences so that you might be open to and
trust any that you have. Our departed loved
ones communicate best when
we are relaxed, peaceful and accepting about
death--life's biggest change but certainly
not an end.
Many, many people
experience subtle or not so subtle contacts
from the other side. It's not kooky, just a
reminder that there's much more to life than
the five human senses can usually detect.
