In the last week, I
led workshops in two cities. In each,
we discussed convincing evidence that we
really are timeless beings of
energy who are 'just visiting' on this
planet for awhile. We explored how our
lives are illumined and empowered by
this knowledge.
During these
sessions, many people bravely shared
their own personal challenges: six loved
ones dying in the last few years, a
psychotic father who abused sexually and
physically, a husband who committed
suicide, surviving a murder attempt, and
much more.
Whew! Life on this
planet is definitely not for sissies!
Thank goodness for
the compelling evidence that we really
are indestructible souls who cannot be
hurt and who don't really die. Thank God
for solid proof that we, as souls,
choose challenging events for the
spiritual muscles we develop. Thank
your inner self for being so brave to
volunteer for such a daunting
incarnation.
The benefits of
this Earth experience are many,
especially when you're spiritually
awakened.
Life on this planet
is a totally different experience when
we know it's just for a short while.
Life makes much more sense when we know
it's totally safe and magnificently
designed for spiritual growth and
service opportunities.
Maybe you're like
those people from the workshop and have
also experienced horrible personal
events. If so, deeply know that there's
a rhyme and a reason for it. Again,
it's really very simple. Challenges
allow us to grow toward the Divine more
quickly. It also helps us to serve
others mightily.
When you're
enlightened, even just a little, you
realize those benefits are worth the
price of admission. When you remember
who you are, you can even enjoy the game
of life--even when trials and
tribulations
occur all around
you.

like those audience members were
helped. May you breathe in Spirit
deeply and recall how safe and capable
you are--always and in all ways!
