Note: If you already know the following information scroll down to the article title in maroon below the seven asterisks.  However, I strongly recommend reading this introduction until you really ‘own’ it.  In addition, post The Great News where you’ll see it every day.

In 2019 – 2020, a series of studies at the University of Arizona definitively demonstrated scientifically that life continues after physical death.  This research was conducted by Gary E. Schwartz PhD and a team of electrical engineers, software specialists, evidential mediums, and postmaterial (so-called ‘deceased’) luminaries at the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health.

See articles #1 and 60 at SoulProof.com for an overview of the scientific and clinical evidence indicating – with 99.9% certainty – that consciousness survives bodily death.  This collective evidence, along with many firsthand experiences, also shows – with very high degrees of certainty – The Great News that you and everyone else:

  1. continue to live after bodily death.
  2. do not really lose ‘departed’ people and pets and can interact with them again.
  3. are integral, infinite, eternal, and beloved parts of Source Energy / Creator.
  4. receive assistance / guidance from angels, guides, master teachers, evolved energies.
  5. are sacredly interconnected with all people, animals, and nature.
  6. have special purposes for being on this planet at this time.
  7. have everything you need to survive and thrive during this earthly adventure.
  8. possess a magnificent, self-healing body that can optimize your earthly experience.
  9. can find meaning and trust the timing behind life’s biggest changes such as death.
  10. co-create how heavenly / hellish your life feels by your thoughts, words and deeds.
  11. can find silver linings and opportunities for growth and service amidst challenges.
  12. can likely use SoulPhone technology in the future for communication with postmaterial loved ones and luminaries who can help us heal our world.

This is, obviously, a new and exciting era for humanity.  When understood and internalized – even just a bit – The Great News can help you make the shift:

  • FROM thinking, believing, and acting as if your time on earth is unfair, meaningless, cruel, and ends with cessation of consciousness or the possibility of endless suffering.
  • TO thinking, believing, and acting as if this earthly experience is a totally meaningful, safe, and magnificent adventure amidst forever.

Upgrading your language can help you adopt a greater reality perspective and live based on the second worldview.  That, in turn, can help you create the greatest life YOU have envisioned, fulfill your purposes for being on earth, serve others, and enjoy the journey.  In my articles, l:

  1. Will use the term ‘YOU’ to describe the totality of your energy / being. The real you may manifest in different spacetime ways simultaneously. Only 20% of your consciousness may be needed for an earthly experience.  The term ‘YOU’ recognizes both of these possibilities.
  2. Will not use the terms ‘die, departed, deceased, or dead’ without single quotation marks since those have strongly entrenched and erroneous meanings indicating an end of life.
  3. Will use the terms ‘bodily death’ and ‘death of the earthly form’ to remind you that only the earth-suit dies. The rest – all the intelligence, love, personality, memories, preferences, sense of humor, and much more – continues living in other parts of the field of all possibilities.
  4. Will use the terms changed worlds, passed on, transitioned and others that aptly describe a continuation of consciousness after bodily death.
  5. Will primarily refer to those who have passed on as postmaterial persons. That term recognizes the points in #3. I also will use soul, consciousness, essence, and awareness.
  6. Will primarily refer to ‘physical humans living on earth’ as material persons. Why? Because those terms within single quotation marks may apply to postmaterial persons: they can have physicality, visit earth, and are still human in meaningful ways.
  7. The terms lower versus higher energy emotions / ways of being, are not judgmental or subjective. They are based on well-established observations that ‘as you think, so shall you be.’ Those terms are also based on objective measurements by, for example, David Hawkins PhD, MD author of Power Versus Force.  He and other researchers found that higher-energy emotions of peace, joy, and love calibrate at 600, 540, and 500 respectively.  Lower-energy emotions of anger, fear, and guilt calibrate at 150, 100, and 30.
  8. I will use single quotations marks with words such as ‘lose and fail’.  The Great News and collective afterlife evidence can expand your worldview about what seem to be losses and failures.  We can’t accurately judge the big picture of life – what is lost or how we failed – with our limited human senses.
  9. To recognize and respect different genders and sexual identifications, I will alternate using ‘he’ or ‘she’ and related pronouns. Depending on a person’s orientation, one, both, or neither of those may apply.

The free articles and radio shows mentioned are available at SoulProof.com.  To learn more about the collective afterlife evidence and The Great News, read Soul Proof, The Afterlife Evidence, Greater Reality Living (co-authored with Dr. Schwartz) and The Big Picture of Life (with Schwartz and Katta Mapes MA, MEd).  To experience expanded states of consciousness to heal and transform your life, use the audio programs under Shop at SoulProof.com.

Optimal Self Care: How to Holistically Fine-Tune Yourself

You can control the quality – and quite possibly the quantity – of your time on earth, no matter what is going on to or around you.  Let me explain . . .

As a human being, you possess a dual consciousness:

1. Your transcendent source of consciousness (TSC) existed before you were born on earth and survives physical death.  Synonyms for TSC include awareness, soul, info-energy, and consciousness.

2. Your brain-based consciousness (BBC) is determined by your general health, self-care habits, brain chemistry, personal experiences, and genetics.

The quality of your life is deeply affected by the degree to which your TSC and BBC are communicating with each other.  Your consciousness can be on the same wavelength as your body / brain, or not.  When your awareness is strong, you know how to best live and care for yourself.  And, conversely, when your body is optimally well, your awareness can best shine through.

Further, the quality of your brief visit to this planet is greatly shaped by your vitality and wellness, or lack thereof.  Life on earth is like a marathon race and, as you know, sometimes it seems all uphill.  Being vibrantly healthy gives you the energy, strength, and clarity to handle life’s most challenging demands with style.

My book Radiant Wellness explains how to optimally fine-tune yourself in body, mind, and spirit.  Contact me at mark@soulproof.com to order Standard Process supplements and detox products listed below.

Seven keys to optimally and holistically care for yourself include:

  1. Renewal
  • Get enough sleep – about eight hours for most people – so you feel happy and rested throughout the day.
  • Be asleep by 10:30 p.m. and even earlier when needing extra rest.  Natural health experts say the hours of sleep before midnight are most beneficial.
  • Avoid staying up late because it often leads to excess TV viewing, computer or video game use, and snacking.
  • Listen to your inner wisdom when you don’t feel well.  Lighten your schedule, go to bed earlier, sleep in, cancel social engagements and get a nap.
  • Open your bedroom window for fresh air; just a crack during cold weather.
  • Benefit from creative insights that can occur just before and after sleep or while dreaming.  Keep a notepad and pen on your bedside table to capture valuable ideas and inspiring thoughts.
  • Review your goals and read or listen to inspirational and motivational material just before going to sleep.  This fills your heart and mind with positive themes instead of the latest tragedies on the 11 o’clock news.
  1. Activity
  • Even Jack Lalanne D.C., didn’t enjoy exercising, but he liked the way he felt, looked and functioned – so he did it and so should we.
  • Stretch once or twice a day for five minutes to promote health of your soft tissues (muscle, ligament, tendon and disc); prevent or slow arthritis; help maintain normal skeletal and spinal alignment and flexibility.
  • Aerobically condition (walk, bike, jog, elliptical, etc.) three times per week for 20 minutes using interval training methods.
  • Resistance train 3 times per week for 45 minutes using weights, thera-bands, or your body weight with yoga, Pilates or floor exercises.
  • Develop an active lifestyle by enjoying time with dear ones while walking in nature, biking, kayaking or canoeing.  Take dance, yoga or martial arts lessons.
  • Climb stairs, park further away, and pick up the pace while cleaning the house and doing yard work.
  1. Diet
  • Note: See the Real Food Way of Eating information at end of this article
  • To motivate yourself to eat more healthfully, go to a grocery where unhealthy foods are sold.  Observe how people who are pushing a grocery cart loaded with poor quality foods look and move.   This isn’t about being judgmental but, rather, awakening you to the link between diet and well-being.
  • Avoid chemical-laden, GMO and radiated foods.
  • Avoid processed foods, especially those containing white sugar and flour.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners that can act as neuroexcitins/toxins
  • Use minimal amounts of natural sweeteners: honey, maple syrup, molasses, xylitol, agave
  • Eat fresh organic or “beyond organic” food from healthy grocery stores and local farmers who use sustainable agriculture and pasture-raised methods.
  • Eat mostly real food: vegetables, low glycemic fruit, raw nuts and seeds, lean meat and eggs.  Include some legumes, grains and sprouted breads.
  • Get sufficient healthy fats: butter, coconut butter and oil, olive oil, ghee, etc.
  • In addition to eating fish, walnuts and seeds (flax, chia and hemp), you can obtain additional omega-3 essential fatty acids from unprocessed pristine sources of tuna oil or cod liver oil.
  • If you are a vegetarian, obtain sufficient protein from grain and legume combinations, plant-based protein powders and bars, and raw foods.  Get vitamin B-12 from whole food supplements.
  • Avoid the most common offending foods: wheat, corn, soy, sugar and processed dairy.  This is most critical in industrialized countries where agri-businesses use pesticides, herbicides and GMO seeds.
  • Pure water with daily ounces equal to 1/3 to 1/2 of your body weight in pounds
  • Avoid flimsy plastic containers for water since they can contain endocrine system disrupting plastic molecules.
  • Limit tea or coffee to 2 or 3 servings per day and none after early afternoon.
  • Avoid synthetic nutritional supplements that you find in most stores.  These high dosage varieties are created in labs mostly from chemicals and are poorly recognized and absorbed by the body.
  • Use cold processed whole food supplements from organic plant sources that are raised in rich topsoil from companies like Standard Process.
  • Get a personalized nutritional evaluation from a licensed health care practitioner who uses Nutrition Response Testing (unsinc.info), Applied Kinesiology (icakusa.com), or similar effective and time-tested approach.  For more information, see articles #32 and 33 at SoulProof.com.
  • Use raw concentrated green powders in your smoothies or green drinks
  • To learn more about the dangers of fast foods, watch videos such as Food, Inc., Knives Over Forks, Fast Food Nation and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.
  • Read articles by: Mark R. Anderson at SeleneRiverPress.com; Weston Price DDS and Francis Pottenger M.D. atppnf.org; experts at StandardProcess.com; Royal Lee DDS at DrRoyalLee.com; and others cited in this chapter.
  • Take this challenge: enjoy the Real Food Way of Eating for just 60 days.  Then revisit your old fast food restaurants, conventional grocery store and vending machines.  If you’re like most people, processed junk foods will now taste sickeningly sweet and artificial.  You also may experience fatigue, brain fog, depression, intestinal symptoms, and muscle and joint aching.
  1. Inner Cleanse
  • Remove bodily wastes and inner toxins by regular bowel movements, urination, sweating and deep breathing.
  • Detoxify your body at least twice per year with a gentle but powerful program such as the 21-Day Purification Program from Standard Process.
  • Minimize exposure to chemicals and heavy metals in your body care, home cleaning and laundry products.  Hair dyes are just one of many sources of toxins that can especially impact the brain and hormonal organs.  That is one reason for the increase in neuromuscular disorders, mental illness and other imbalances.  To learn more, see article #34 Detoxing Chemicals and Heavy Metals.
  • Educate yourself about the dangers of excess electromagnetic radiation and how to minimize exposure to this.  To learn more, see article # 43 Dirty Electricity.
  • Avoid cigarettes, smokeless tobacco and excess alcohol and marijuana.  Instead, use powerful breathing techniques to relax, release stress, and get high naturally so you don’t ‘come down’ and have negative side effects like a hangover or lung disease.  To learn more, see article #86 Breathing Techniques.
  1. Awareness
  • No matter what is going on around you, you can always choose to focus on higher energy thoughts of peace, joy, love, gratitude and enthusiasm.
  • Use centering practices – prayer, meditation, time in nature, yoga, soaking in a hot tub, etc.  – to become calmer and access your inner wisdom.  (articles #51 and 77)
  • Realize that your thoughts, words and deeds have a ripple effect – for good or bad – on you and others.
  • Give thanks for the good parts of your life and work to improve the bad ones
  • Remember that golden opportunities for growth and service always accompany difficulty and suffering.  (articles #10 and 29)
  • To release old emotional baggage, use the Holistic Breathing Technique.  You can also hold a pillow over your mouth and scream; hit a cushion with your hands or whiffle ball bat; write out your concerns and then burn or tear up the paper.
  • Shield yourself from emotional sappers and zappers, especially if you are sensitive or empathic (article #23)
  • Limit negative input from sensationalistic news sources
  • Avoid pornography for many reasons.  (article #30)
  • Enjoy uplifting TV, movies, plays, music, art and literature that increase, refine and balance your awareness.
  • Nourish loving relationships with significant others, family, friends and pets
  • Respect, appreciate, and enjoy the richness of diversity in skin color, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, age, gender and other outward differences
  • Follow your heart-felt callings, even if just part time.  (article #21)
  1. Natural Care
  • Avoid invasive drug and surgical approaches whenever possible.  Why? The New England Journal of Medicine recently reported that over 750,000 Americans physically die each year from prescription drug reactions, hospital-borne infections, complications from unnecessary surgeries, and outright mistakes.  In addition, the underlying imbalances are not addressed.
  • To learn more about the dangers of medical care, read What Doctors Don’t Tell You by Lynne McTaggart and Death by Medicine by Gary Null Ph.D., Martin Feldman M.D., Debora Rasio M.D. and Carolyn Dean M.D., North Dakota
  • Assemble a natural health care team to provide specific chiropractic and cranial adjusting, acupuncture, deep-massage and aromatherapy.
  • Again, I highly recommend a personalized nutritional evaluation to help your body heal itself by balancing weak and stressed organs.  This usually improves or reverses physical and mental symptoms, even those involving named diseases.  The two best methods I know of are Nutrition Response Testing (unsinc.info) and Applied Kinesiology (icakusa.com)
  • Have an integrative medicine physician who will prescribe potentially dangerous drugs only when absolutely necessary.  To learn more about this new breed of medical doctor, read articles by Julian Whitaker M.D.; Joseph Mercola D.O.; Mark Hyman M.D.; John McDougall M.D. and Andrew Weil M.D.
  • If you are depressed or suicidal, please seek help from a crisis support team, psychological and/or pastoral counseling, and both orthodox and natural health care providers.  (Articles #5 and 26)
  • Remember the 3 L’s for babies: Leboyer (optimal care just after birth), La Leche (breast-feeding) and Lamaze (natural childbirth).
  • Educate yourself about the potential short and long-term dangers as well as questionable effectiveness of vaccinations.  Visit the National Vaccine Information Center at nvic.org.  Recommended reading: Childhood Vaccination by Tedd Koren D.C.; A Shot in the Dark by Harris L.  Coulter Ph.D. and Barbara Loe Fisher; How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor by Robert S.  Mendelsohn M.D.; Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and Effective? by Neil Z.  Miller; Vaccines by Sherri Tenpenny DO; The Sanctity of Human Blood by Tim O’Shea D.C.
  • Contact your lawmakers to level the playing field by requiring insurance companies to cover care by licensed natural health care providers when appropriate.  This will make safe and effective care available to more people.
  • Urge your lawmakers to require multi-disciplinary ‘triage’ screening for all non-crisis patients so the most appropriate treatment can be delivered.  This will greatly improve health care and eliminate excessive costs.
  1. Transcendence
  • Know thyself.  You are an indestructible being of energy and consciousness.
  • You are on earth for SAGE training: Service, Adventure, Growth and Enjoyment.
  • You and your loved ones continue living after the body dies. (articles #1 and 60)
  • Much evidence indicates that you will see your ‘departed’ loved ones again and likely can sense them now.  (articles #9, 28 and 35)
  • Realize that change is a good thing for growth and development.
  • Life Source appears to be a dynamic and evolving creativity, power, love, and intelligence.  (article #13)
  • Humans experience life from a unique time and space perspective, then relay that information to All That Is.  It’s an immensely worthwhile adventure that is way beyond the level of heroism in Star Wars and other inspiring stories.
  • Beware of pondering too much about ‘Why is there so much suffering?’  A better question would be ‘How can I lessen my suffering and that of others?’  The quality of your life is impacted by the quality of your thoughts and words.  Do you think and talk too much about past wounds, losses and disappointments?  Or do you focus on the magnificence, richness and wonder of life? (article #29)
  • Remember that optimally caring for your body / brain can increase your mental clarity, and realize, as William Blake stated: “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.”
  • Develop a circle of kindred spirits who are also realizing the great news that we are forever beings living in a totally supportive universe.
  • Understand that you are a special and beloved being who came here with special gifts to share and lessons to learn.  (Article #21)
  • Join an online or local Greater Reality Living group.
  • Reconsider fear-based teachings about sin, hell, guilt, etc. (article #16)
  • Join a heart and service-oriented church or spiritual center.
  • Learn contemporary understandings about life’s biggest questions from twelve consciousness experts – Raymond Moody, Caroline Myss, Anita Moorjani, Gary Schwartz, and others – in my book The Eleven Questions.
  • Nurture your relationship with your Higher Power: start by asking to better know the heart and mind of Creator; converse with daily prayer; and sense responses via meditation, time in nature, serving others and other centering practices that quiet the brain.  I earnestly asked God and Jesus – my terms for Source and a master teacher at that time – into my life as a young adult.   Those relationships continue as a daily walk together although my beliefs, understandings, and language have changed greatly over the years.

By the way, the first letter of each key spells the word RADIANT.  That’s what you really are . . . a radiant being of energy and awareness who is temporarily visiting this planet for loving service, adventure, growth and enjoyment.  I hope you love and respect yourself enough to spend some time, energy, and money on a body / mind tune-up.  You deserve it and the world needs your brightest light.

Again, my book Radiant Wellness shares more information about how to fine-tune yourself holistically.  And you can contact my office at mark@soulproof.com to order Standard Process supplements and detox products.

The Real Food Way of Eating: Healing Phase

This approach is needed as a person addresses significant health problems, overweight, and imbalances. Strictly follow these guidelines for only 90 days.  Most people can then graduate to the Wellness Phase that involves eating healthfully 90 – 95% of the time.  (That means you can occasionally eat small amounts of whatever you want.)

This phase is very low in sugar.  Why?  Excess sugar can cause overweight, inflammation, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, increased cholesterol and triglyceride levels, diabetes, and increased microorganism growth.  Heavy metals and chemicals reside inside these microorganisms and are also stored in fat.  Excess carbs – as you know – are converted to sugar that, in turn, may be stored as fat.

I recommend green powders, protein powders, and protein bars from Standard Process, Garden of Life, or Vibrant Living.  The whole food supplements listed are from Standard Process and MediHerb.

Guidelines:

  • Eat fresh and unprocessed foods that are chemical-free, non-GMO, and healthfully raised.
  • Read labels and AVOID the following: sugar, wheat, soy, corn, artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, and high fructose corn Also AVOID meat, eggs, or dairy from unhealthily raised sources.
  • If it’s not on the list below, don’t eat it for 90 days.

Protein: 2 servings per day

  • Meat: wild caught fish; pasture-raised chicken, turkey, beef, or buffalo; wild No cured meats. Serving size is the size and thickness of your palm.
  • Eggs: 2 – 3 whole eggs plus 1 – 2 egg whites for more protein
  • Dairy: from certified raw or organic, flash pasteurized pasture-raised sources
  • Protein powder from plant or whey for smoothies
  • Protein bars with plant or whey-sourced protein and low carbs
  • Vitality Drink (see below) for plant and seed sources of protein
  • Grain and legume combination for complementary amino acids

Note: Use rice, almond, or coconut milk but not soy

Vegetables: unlimited amounts allowed, but at least 4 – 6 servings per day

  • eat vegetables raw, juiced, steamed, lightly sautéed, or in soups
  • avoid the starchy (high sugar) varieties: white potatoes, corn, yams, peas
  • eat at least one raw vegetable salad per day
  • green powder with a variety of grasses, vegetables, and sprouts
  • for dressing: use cold pressed oil with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice; homemade with organic ingredients; or good brands such as Haines, Annie’s, and Newman’s

Raw Nuts & Seeds: 1 – 2 servings per day of RAW almonds, pecans, walnuts, or macadamia nuts; chia, hemp, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, and flax seeds.  These are best eaten after soaking for 20 minutes.  Visit TheRawtarian.com for additional information about sprouting.

Healthy Fats: healthy fats and oils: pasture-raised butter, ghee, coconut butter, avocado, eggs; olive, grape seed, walnut, sesame, safflower, and coconut oils

Legumes: adzuki, pinto, black, garbanzo, fava, edamame, soy, red kidney, and lima beans; black eyed peas, lentils.  Dried organic legumes soaked overnight before cooking are better than canned.  Legumes are also great sprouted.

Grains: 0 – 1 serving of grains or legumes per day depending on your health status and weight loss goals.  Organic sprouted grain bread and cereal.  Wheat-free grains, crackers and pasta from brown rice, quinoa, amaranth, or millet.

Fruit: 1 serving per day of low glycemic varieties: raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and Granny Smith apples

Sweeteners: 0 – 1 serving per day of stevia, xylitol or agave; no artificial sweeteners

Condiments: natural herbs and spices; Borsari and Celtic Sea Salt; no or low sugar brands of mustard, catsup and meat sauces

Beverages: pure water with lemon and lime added if desired; herbal teas; 1 – 2 cups of organic coffee or tea per day

Health Drinks: see ‘Health Drinks’ handout

The real food way of eating is how humans have always eaten until food industries destroyed nutrients and brainwashed consumer choices via advertising. You now have a choice to make. What is more important to you?  Eating the way that is more convenient and temporarily stimulates your taste buds and brain that are addicted to sugar and chemicals? Or making some changes and feeling happy, healthy and energetic again?

Real Food Way of Eating: Wellness Phase

When you are healthy and have reached your desired weight, you are ready for the wellness phase. The keys? Eat the Healing Real Food Way of Eating 90 – 95% of the time.

This lifetime way of eating follows the 90 Day Healing approach 90 – 95% of the time and allows you to enjoy an occasional sweet or junk food.  Your body will let you know if you are eating too much junk too often.  Once you feel great and happy nearly all the time, you can use that yardstick to monitor whether you are sufficiently following dietary and other laws of health.  If your health status and weight allow, you can now have:

  • Occasional starchy carbs: white potatoes, corn, yams, peas
  • Two servings of grains or legumes per day
  • Two servings of fruit per day, primarily low and moderate with occasional high glycemic varieties
  • Dairy products — especially from goat milk — if your weight and health status tolerate them
  • Healthier snacks two or three times a week: fruit sweetened cookies; dark chocolate with 70 percent or higher cocoa content; popcorn; muffins or fruit cobbler made with gluten-free grains, nuts, fruit, and natural sweeteners; potato or sweet potato chips; cold processed whole food bars with about 18 grams of plant or whey protein and 5 net grams of carbs.
  • Junk food rarely: pizza, ice cream, decadent dessert, etc. You’ll feel worse, gain weight, and go backwards in your well-being if you eat too much too often.

Again, if this way of eating sounds boring, just consider what is more important: feeling, looking and being your very best or eating whatever you want and being like the average person?
