Eight Developments for Widespread Conscious Living Now

(Note: This is NOT a religious article although I open it with meaningful church experiences from my youth.  It IS about eight inspiring, informative, and empowering developments that now make widespread conscious living a practical goal.  Put another way, much more peace, love, and harmony for many people is now eminently obtainable.  When enough of us have that, world peace will occur relatively quickly, naturally, and easily.)

As a youth, I was particularly inspired by four parts of our Lutheran church service . . .

            (1) In The Lord’s Prayer: ‘Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. 

            (2) In the Benediction: ‘May the peace that passes all understanding be in your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’ 

            (3) The title and words of the hymn ‘Brighten the Corner Where You Are‘

            (4) The Christmas Eve candlelight service where one large candle from the altar was used to light several and then, via sharing, everyone’s little candle. 

Regarding #1, I reasoned that ‘heaven on earth’ was a possible outcome since that is surely the will of a loving and supportive Creator, and many people pray for that outcome while working toward bringing that vision to fruition.  For #2, I realized that ‘the peace that passes all understanding’ sounded very desirable, comforting, and something that many people would want.  Regarding #3, the melody and words of the song ‘Brighten the Corner Where You Are’ played in my mind often.  Over time, it became like a mantra that still motivates me 60 years later.  For #4, the symbolism of the candlelight service was very powerful and clear: we each are like little lights who receive The Light and can share it with others. 

In the past, religious teachings were the primary way that many people learned about ultimate matters.  There are many positive aspects of great religious / spiritual teachings, especially those that focus on loving and serving ourselves and others.  However, there are serious downsides – particularly in the areas of understanding the nature of reality, creating an optimal earthly experience, dying with dignity, and about the afterlife.  Fortunately, eight developments now exist to help people . . .

  • realize their true nature as eternal beings of consciousness / life-force / energy
  • ask for and use guidance and assistance from highly evolved energies and Source
  • heal old wounds, and release past misinformation and needless fears
  • create the greatest life they have envisioned
  • help others by sharing their greatest gifts / soul’s highest purposes
  • make our world a better place via widespread conscious living

These eight magnificently comforting, inspiring, and empowering developments include . . .


Development #1: Two transformative events in 2026 . . .
           
     a. Official announcements about definitive scientific proof of life after bodily death.

     b. Public demonstrations of technology showing binary (Yes / No) communication with postmaterial persons or PMPs.  As described in article #31 What Is a Postmaterial Person? so-called ‘deceased’ people are very much alive, well, and active.  (all articles referenced are free at SoulProof.com/Articles)  Two categories of PMPs who can be contacted when technology is in place include:

  • beloved family members and friends
  • luminary scientists, educators, leaders, religious teachers, and others who were geniuses in their fields while on earth. Indications are that these members of ‘The A-Team’ want to help all people and our planet. 

These two events are possible after 25 years of research and development by Gary E. Schwartz PhD, a former professor at Harvard, Yale, and the University of Arizona.  Dr. Schwartz directs the SoulPhone Project at the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. 

He is assisted by a team of electrical engineers, software developers, evidential mediums, and ‘The A-Team’.  I directed the SoulPhone Foundation from 2016 through 2024.  I’ve also assisted research, and helped shape strategic planning and implementation with Dr. Schwartz.  I mention this development first because it may be ‘the tipping point’ for enough people that our world comes together.  To learn more and watch videos about this project, visit SoulPhone.org/Interviews.


Development #2: Guidance and Assistance from Highly Evolved Assistance and The Light

Much clinical and experiential evidence indicates that humans receive loving guidance and assistance from higher energy assistance and The Ground of All Being.  That’s incredibly comforting, inspiring, and empowering news.

The term Higher Energy Assistance describes highly evolved beings / energies.  From a religious or spiritual viewpoint, this is viewed as coming from saints, angels, guides, and master teachers.  From a more secular or scientific perspective, this help is considered as higher energy assistance that is part of how the cosmos works.  Researchers in the field of survival of consciousness describe the source of this assistance as One Mind or Cosmic Consciousness.  These terms may be preferable for those who aren’t comfortable with archaic religious images and understandings of ‘God’. 

However you envision The Source, there is good evidence that higher, faster, and more refined energies provide loving support and guidance.  This may be more noticeable when you ask for it, stay alert for its arrival, give thanks, and use it to help yourself and others.   

Many people have perceived this assistance firsthand.  Clinical evidence for this level of help has been reported by researchers in the fields of near-death experiences, life between lives sessions, and deathbed visions.  Sessions with authentic mediums – whose abilities to accurately sense specific communications from ‘deceased’ persons has been demonstrated in double blind studies – also report angelic presence and assistance.  

There has been some proof-of-concept scientific exploration about the existence of angels.  As discussed in his book The Sacred Promise, Dr. Schwartz and his team included an angel in at least two sets of experiments.  In 2019, I assisted in a series of experiments that – if you can trust the data and scientific methods – included an angel

Development #3: Evidence for ‘The Great News’

Ten indications about the nature of reality were compiled by Dr. Schwartz and I when we wrote the Greater Reality Living book.   Our view – based on scientific, clinical, and experiential evidence – is that we live in a totally safe, infinite, eternal, and supportive cosmos.  (This is true even when it doesn’t appear that way to limited sense organs that provide a myopic perspective.)  ‘The Great News’ is that you and everyone else are:

    1.  are beings of consciousness / energy who live after your earthly body dies. 

  1. can sense and visit with ‘deceased’ loved ones now and after you pass on.
  2. are integral, eternal, and beloved parts of Source Energy / The Light now.
  3. receive guidance, assistance, and love from angels, guides, and master teachers.
  4. are sacredly interconnected with all people, animals, and nature.
  5. have special purposes for participating in this earthly experience now.
     
  6. may simultaneously manifest in other space-time realities now and after death.
  7. have everything you need – no matter what your past or current circumstances – to enjoy the greatest life YOU have envisioned.  (YOU = your higher self / soul)
  8. can find peace, joy, meaning, growth, and opportunities for loving service amidst your toughest changes and challenges.
  9. create the quality of your life – whether experiencing that on earth or beyond – via your predominant thoughts, words and actions.

Development #5: Many stellar organizations that assist widespread conscious living

The stellar organizations listed below can, especially when working together, create much more peace, joy, and harmony on earth.  They have been a great influence for my personal and professional growth.  Note: What helped me was no doubt influenced by several factors including my Lutheran church upbringing, attending Methodist Theological School, and involvement with (a – c) listed below.

     a. Christian churches / spiritual centers, especially Unity Church of Christianity, Unitarian-Universalist, United Church of Christ, Centers for Spiritual Living, and Spiritualist Churches

     b. Other religious / spiritual wisdom sources: Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Sufism, Native American and other indigenous spiritual groups

     c. Development #6: Wise and inspirational information and resources are now widely available

In the past, esoteric information about spiritual enlightenment and holistic healing was only known by a select few.  The internet now shares this information quickly and inexpensively.  (However, it’s prudent to use discernment about the source and not get sidetracked.)  Each of the organizations and groups listed under #5 above provide information and resources from top experts about wellness, consciousness, afterlife, world peace, and more.

Development #7: People who have awakened to the big picture of life

Six examples of those who are especially hope-inspiring include . . .  

     a. Near Death Experiencers: As discussed in article #92, NDErs are those who clinically died and were successfully resuscitated. Some of them encountered The Light and saw more of the greater reality and how wonderfully life is set up.  They returned to earth with profound and lasting upgrades to their thoughts, beliefs, words, and actions.  Millennia ago, Plato advised that leaders come from the ranks of NDErs . . . a remarkably wise vision during that era.  I agree that they provide much hope for the upcoming shift to widespread personal and global peace and well-being.

     b. Shining Light Parents: This term describes grieving parents, such as those in the Helping Parents Heal organization, who know their ‘departed’ kids are alive and well. These parents stay alert for signs and visits from their children while developing different but very meaningful relationships with them.  The resulting heightened energy empowers these parents to take higher paths as they choose to find, use, and share silver linings that accompany adversity.  Their enlightened focus creates more meaning to their child’s life and passing and helps others.  They are some of the most joyful, peaceful, and loving activists I’ve worked with.  To learn more, visit HelpingParentsHeal.org.  

     c. Spiritually Transformative Experiencers: These are people who became more aware of the magnificent nature of reality and their lofty role in it after one or more triggers. Examples of these include NDE-like events, shared crossings, religious revelations, the birth of a child, the passing of a loved one, and more.  That these triggers range so widely supports the truism ‘When the student is ready, the teacher appears.’  To learn more, see article #17 Spiritually Transformative Experiences.

     d. ‘The 15%ers’: This is my term for the approximate percentage of humans who embody intermediate to advanced levels of soul-energy / consciousness. Based on data from the clinical Life Between Lives work started by Michael Newton PhD, these more advanced ones often want to share their greatest gifts.  They sometimes experience an existential malaise, a creative discontent, until they remember who they are, why they’re here, and fulfill their highest purposes.  See article #98 Life Between Lives and #117 Are You a More Evolved Soul? to learn more about these topics. 

     e. Extra-Sensory Perceivers: This category includes those with enhanced sensory and/or cognitive abilities. One example is the group of nonverbal autistics highlighted by Ky Dickens and professionals in her podcast The Telepathy Tapes.  These children, who often cannot speak at all, have amazing abilities of telepathy, precognition, and seeing ‘departed’ persons.  Another group is that of evidential mediums who see, hear, feel, and/or know information from people and pets who have passed on.  To learn more, see article #6 Evidential Mediums.

     f. Recovering Persons: I use this term since some people who have been sober from drugs and/or alcohol for many years still consider themselves to be recovering versus recovered. I’ve known or heard about many people who, after starting a recovery program, became forces for good.  Some empathic, sensitive, and evolved people try to numb out and cope with earth’s challenges by overusing drugs and alcohol.  A variety of ’12 Step Programs’ such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous can help people find the love, support, and meaning they were searching for in the wrong places.


Development #8: Visionary leaders who understand humanity is at an exciting crossroads

I’ve met many of these open-minded and open-hearted thought leaders who are ready to make a difference in their respective fields.  The organizations listed above in #5 were started by one or more people who wanted to make a difference. 

For example, in 2024, I described the SoulPhone Project to a group of 600 people on Stephen Berkley’s ‘Life With Ghosts’ webinar.  During an hour of Q & A afterwards, an astute rabbi asked how she could help her congregants and other religious leaders to optimally prepare for the changes ahead.  That she ‘got it’ so quickly was music to my ears.  We hope that leaders in all fields will recognize the sacred and historic nature of this moment where widespread conscious living is possible.

These eight developments – the SoulPhone Project, highly evolved assistance, the great news, Greater Reality Program, stellar organizations, evidence-based information and holistic resources, extra-sensory perceivers, and visionary leaders – are creating profound benefits for many people and our planet.  Thank you for sharing this with others, doing your part, and helping this vision become a reality.
