Will the SoulPhone EVER Be Ready?

I directed the SoulPhone Foundation for eight years, and am the spokesperson for the SoulPhone Project, assist research, and help Dr. Schwartz with strategic planning and implementation.  Gary E. Schwartz PhD directs the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health (previously at the University of Arizona). A former Harvard and Yale professor, Dr. Schwartz retired from his professorship in Psychology, Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery at the University of Arizona in 2024.  He has presented more than 450 scientific papers, co-edited 11 academic books, and written 14 books for the general public.  To learn more, visit LACH.org.

As of August 2025, the question in the title is one of the most common questions we are asked.  Some people are discouraged and wonder if they ever will really be able to contact their ‘deceased’ loved ones with a SoulPhone device.  We understand and hope this short article will help.

Magnificent progress has been made on the project.  I cannot share details since they involve intellectual property and patentable information / devices.

In hindsight, we may have started telling people about the project too soon.  We wanted to be transparent and provide hope.  We also anticipated that grass roots funding would allow the project to be completed without involving investors at the early stages.

We greatly appreciate those who have contributed over the years.  Those donations have taken us to the point where a SoulSwitch practical device MAY be completed this year, but there is no guarantee.  The team is already looking ahead at designing and building  the SoulKeyboard.  This device will enable typing and texting with those who are no longer on earth.

So, yes, we have made much progress.

Many people have expressed the immense comfort and hope they feel by learning about this technology that quite likely will be available one day.  But others have become cynical, discouraged, and even critical.

We also live in a time when half-truths and mistruths are made without evidence.  Greta Thunberg called this living in a post-truth society.  As a result, people don’t know what to believe and may think the SoulPhone Project is just another scam or lie.

In addition, the attention spans and patience of some people are limited.  They are understandably stressed and imbalanced by the pandemic, social upheaval, racism, economic struggles, poor leadership, and other factors.  Some people expect instant results for unprecedented interdimensional communication.  Given the many amazing electronic devices available these days, they wonder why a device that allows communication with postmaterial (“departed”) persons can’t also be completed quickly.

There are other factors for the delay in the first SoulPhone device.  (To learn more about the anticipated devices, see article #35 The SoulPhone at SoulProof.com.)  Everything has taken longer than expected.  This is common in smaller projects such as building a new home so you might imagine how it is for this huge trans-realms project.  Due to limited funding, we can only hire electrical engineers and software specialists on a very part-time basis.  This created delays in research and development since they have full time jobs, families, etc.

I hope this helps you understand why the first SoulPhone device isn’t ready yet.  Here are three ways you can help:

  1. Share our newsletters with others: If you’ve not already, sign up for the free monthly SoulPhone.org and Soul Proof.com newsletters. 
  2. Attend Online Greater Reality Healing, Living & Helping Groups: The SoulPhone Project is a powerful part of this program since it has scientifically proven that life continues after bodily death.  Further, early ‘postmaterial communication technology’ has clearly shown contact with those who have passed on.  Subscrib e to the newsletters above for updates on when official announcements and public demonstrations will occur.

  3. Tell others: be creative and share via social media, emails, groups at your church or spiritual group, etc. Include the 2020 Update on SoulPhone to introduce people to this ultra-inspiring and comforting news.
